Malinda Hawkins was born May 1, 1847, daughter of Elisha & Isabella Roberts Hawkins.
Malinda married Charles Fields on Jan.31, 1871 in Russell Co. VA, son of Randolph & Rosannah Meak Fields.
Charles & Malinda stated they had 10 children, nine living at that time5of the 1900 Pike County Census.
Malinda was living with her Grand daughter, Daisy Fields Hill, and was listed as widow in the 1930 Dickenson Co. VA census.
Charlie died January 1, 1925 and Malinda died on January 12, 1931.
Malinda was 83 Yrs. 8 months and 12 days old according to death certificate.

1. Removed Charles L.(S may have been miss transcribed as an L) from Charlie and Malinda's children - don't think he was their son.
He may have been the son of Malinda Fields, Randolph's daughter and Charles sister, she was not married at the time.
Charles S. (L may have been miss transcribed as an S) was born 10/14/1889 and died 6/15/1891 listed on 1891 Death
Index Russell Co. VA, Parents-Melinda, Informant-Grandfather Randolph Fields.

2. Female child listed on Russell Co. Birth Index born 8 OCT 1876 parents Charles & Malinda Fields
also in the 1878 Russell County Death Index list Carnilia R. 6 months old parents Charles Fields, I believe this is the same child.
In the 1900 Census Malinda states she had 10 children and one deceased at that time, this would make the above child Carnilia the deceased child
with an error made in the posting of the age, not sure yet need to get microfilm and check out the transcribed postings.

3. **Note**Rosey Fields that married W.F.Mullins, marriage records state parents M.E.Fields, the M stands for Martha.
